The Playhouse – a serene courtyard guides you to a spacious, a light-filled open-plan space, cosy break out rooms and luxe styling make this former theatre ideal for any occasion.

Adorned with greenery and furnishings from our Menier Lounge, this open-concept space features small breakout areas and is fully accessible for disabled users. Ideal for team away days, meetings, presentations, networking events, and product launches, this versatile venue includes both indoor and outdoor spaces, with a flexible layout that can be tailored to your needs.

We have a 65″ & 55″ TV screen available for hire and flipchart and whiteboard for conference purposes. Catering and refreshments are provided by the onsite team, who will ensure the smooth running of your day.

Minimum number of hours for advance booking: 5 hours. Half day hire available from 8am to 1pm or after 1pm. Otherwise it’d be consider as a full day hire. Full day hire as in 9 hours between 08:00-20:00. Additional cost for before 8am or after 8pm might occur, and we can open until 11pm and on weekends, please contact for specific quote.

Additional chairs and tables available for hire if you’d need for cabaret, theatrical, U-shape, boardroom layout. Please get in touch for details.

Low impact photoshoots/filming/events or last-minute booking, we can sometimes offer a discounted hourly rate and could be hired by hours. Please contact us for info.

Access: 7 min walk from London Bridge Station (Borough High Street West exit) / 5 min walk from Borough Station. Street level, with step-free access available.

Access time is the same as hire time.

Maximum capacity 100 people in total if hire upstairs meeting room exclusively.

No fixings to be made to the walls.

Noise to be kept at ambient levels during hire of venue.

Kitchen available - no hob.

No open flames.

No smoking anywhere at the venue, including the outdoor courtyard and garden.

No loud music.

Corkage fee applies for bringing in your own drinks.

Self-catering/external caterer allow with prior consent.

Cancellation policy

Standard 60 day

Cancellations 60 days in advance will receive a full refund.

Cancellations 60 days to 30 days in advance will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations for events starting within 30 days are non-refundable.
